Sneads Ferry is served by the Onslow County School System. There are no public schools located within the limits of the village. With the small size, Sneads Ferry residents attend Dixon Elementary, Middle and High School. Additional schools include Johnson Primary School and Born Again Christian Academy. Higher education is offered from nearby institutions, including Coastal Carolina Community College, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and Cape Fear Community College, to name a few.
